To identify and advocate to meet gaps in community service needs; to coordinate a clearinghouse of information for community services; to strengthen community service provider ties with the community, government, and the media, and to educate members and other agencies, as well as the community, regarding community services.

Provides an excellent networking opportunity for anyone residing or working in Carroll County who is interested in this county's future. A regular emailed newsletter is sent to more than 100 agencies and individuals. Please contact Ms. Miller to join the mailing list. Meetings are generally at 8:30 am on the fourth Wednesday of each month at the Carroll Nonprofit Center, 255 Clifton Boulevard, Westminster. A Board of Directors, elected annually, provides direction for the membership meetings.

  • Just a reminder that our next Community Services Council meeting will be at 8:30 am, Wednesday, July 27 in the meeting room of the Nonprofit Center, 255 Clifton Boulevard, Westminster.
    Our speaker will be Robert Dunn of Robert Dunn Associates (http://www.rjdunnassociates.com) who will be speaking to us about Human Resource Issues in a Small Non-Profit.

  • Carroll County Restaurant Week, August 21 to 28
    Let's support the businesses that support us by participating in the county's first Restaurant Week, co-sponsored by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and the Carroll County Department of Economic Development/Tourism Office. During that week, participating restaurants will be offering fixed price menus, giving customers an opportunity to sample some of the best cuisine at an affordable price!   • Announcement! The Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County is the winner of the CSC's June 2010 participation prize for their use of OurCarroll.com to promote the organization. They will receive a copy of the Westminster Cityscape Art Poster which was recently released in the community.

    Nonprofits that frequently use OurCarroll.com and actively participate in the Community Services Council qualify for the second and final prize which will be awarded in August 2010. Prize details will be announced in the coming weeks.
